My textile range was a personal project where I explored my joy for illustration, colour and interior design. I was inspired by my surroundings, my garden and my African roots – with a little Scandi love thrown in.
Living in a small town, it was important that all my products be produced locally. Fabrics were screen printed by The Natural Hand, a family run studio. Each panel was pulled by hand, one colour at a time, in small print runs. A team of skilled seamstresses, operating from the Iphupho workshop in the centre of Knysna, turned my designs into a range of cushions, scarves, purses and other soft furnishings.
My range retailed throughout South Africa, as well as several outlets in the UK and Europe.
